Description
The Baklin Black Terracotta Pot is handmade in India using traditional pottery wheels and wood fired kilns. Their characteristic hazy matte-black hue is created by double firing the terracotta. In the second firing, the primitive fire kiln is covered with sand, causing smoke to transform classic orange terracotta to coveted moody black. Style its dramatic silhouette on side consoles or amongst favourite decor pieces and books on curated shelving. Unglazed terracotta is porous and should not be used to hold water.
